CertStudy is an AI-powered learning platform. We do not sell personal data.
Your study progress and preferences are stored to provide a personalized learning experience.
Data we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, and hashed password.
- Study data such as quiz results, flashcard progress, tutor sessions, and study plan state.
- Technical and security data such as IP address, browser metadata, rate-limit events, and operational logs.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep your study progress available across sessions and devices.
- To provide quizzes, flashcards, study plans, AI tutoring, and related product features.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Third parties and transfers
CertStudy is hosted primarily on Amazon Web Services in the United States.
AI tutor responses use Anthropic where that feature is available and you explicitly invoke it.
If you access CertStudy from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
AI boundaries
AI tutor features are limited to the learning topic and question you submit for that feature.
Your study data is not used to train AI models.
Retention and deletion
- Account and study data remain until you delete them or delete your account.
- Operational and security logs are generally retained for about 30 days unless a longer retention period is needed for security review.
- You can request deletion by using in-app account deletion where available or by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data.
We honor applicable privacy requests in plain language. California users may also use a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal where applicable as an opt-out signal for future covered processing.
Children and age requirement
CertStudy is not directed to children under 13, and account registration is intended only for people who are at least 16 years old.
If you believe a child provided personal data to CertStudy inappropriately, email us and we will review and delete it where required.
