Terms of Service

By creating an account or using CertStudy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CertStudy offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription.

• Monthly plan: $9.99 per month, billed monthly.
• Annual plan: $79.00 per year, billed annually.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings. Access to premium features continues until the end of your current billing period.
• Prices may change with advance notice. Existing billing cycles will not be affected by price changes.

Payments are processed through PayPal. Refund disputes are handled through PayPal's standard dispute resolution process.

CertStudy does not process refunds directly outside of PayPal. If you believe you were charged in error, open a dispute through PayPal or contact us for assistance.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract content from CertStudy.
• Redistribute, resell, or republish CertStudy content (including quiz questions, flashcards, lessons, and AI-generated material).
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
• Use the platform for purposes other than personal educational study.
• Attempt to circumvent access restrictions, rate limits, or security measures.

CertStudy owns or licenses all platform content, including quiz questions, flashcard decks, lesson materials, UI design, and software code.

You retain ownership of your study data, including quiz results, flashcard progress, study plans, and any notes or data you create within the platform.

Certification names, logos, and exam objectives referenced on CertStudy are trademarks of their respective owners (CompTIA, Amazon Web Services, The Linux Foundation, Puppet/Perforce). CertStudy is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations.

CertStudy is provided on a best-effort basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage or SLA.

The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice for planned downtime.

The AI Tutor and AI Study Planner features use artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic) to generate educational content, practice questions, explanations, and study schedules.

AI-generated responses are educational aids and should not be treated as professional advice, official certification material, or guaranteed exam preparation. AI responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.

Your study data is not used to train AI models. AI interactions are limited to the learning topic you submit.

Your use of CertStudy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes all associated data.

CertStudy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or compromise the security or integrity of the service. Where possible, we will provide notice before taking action.

CertStudy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertStudy and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Washington, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Washington state.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of CertStudy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
